It’s been almost a year since we opened the doors to our Sunderland site.
Time flies when you’re building something that matters.
“When I joined Betr, I saw raw potential” says Managing Director Richard Knox
“What it needed was direction, urgency and the kind of fire that refuses to settle. We’ve brought that, and the results speak for themselves.”
But none of it would’ve happened without the people.
“I was lucky to inherit a team of seriously talented individuals based in Glasgow, Garry Beattie, Ashleigh Murray, Amanda, Ann McVicar, Stacey McCabe, Dom, Cheryl, just to name a few.”
“I’ve never seen a site with such a relentless drive. Overtime, weekends, whatever it takes, they do it. No questions asked. Just a laser-focus on getting results.”
“Then I had the chance to bring some of my old team with me to kickstart our operation in Sunderland, Cally Heads, James Palmer, Chris Mccoulough, Sasha Houghton, Abby McDonagh, Kay Robson. People I’ve built with before, over a decade ago. Phenomenal individuals who know what it takes to create something special. And we go again, taking everything we’ve learned to make this time even better.”

I’m fortunate.
“Genuinely. The team around me are brilliant people with unreal work ethics and even better hearts. That matters, when you’re in the trenches or celebrating the wins (which we’re very, very good at).”
“Seeing the growth across Sunderland over the last 12 months has been phenomenal, not just in the number of client campaigns but in the people, seeing people build a career for themselves, their families, building lives that they didn’t think they could.”

“And yes, before anyone jumps in, I know contact centres can be run cheaper elsewhere. Offshore has its place and I’ve seen some brilliant operations globally.”
“But if you’re serious about world-class sales and CX delivery in the UK, done the right way, it’s worth the investment. Just like with restaurants, hotels and luxury brands, quality always carries a premium. And rightly so.
A spreadsheet can tell you the cost. But it won’t tell you the value.
This means more. – Richard Knox
